Spring Bazaar

Planning has begun for the Spring Bazaar!  The same fun, shopping and food that you've enjoyed every November is now happening on Saturday, April 5.

There are many ways for you to be involved, including:

  • Volunteer!  This event doesn't happen without volunteers, including opportunities to help at the sale tables, serving food, helping in the KidZone and more.  Please sign up here!
  • Bake!  Please consider baking something to donate to the bake sale table - bread, cookies, squares, loaves, whatever strikes your fancy.
  • Provide Auction Items!  We are collecting items for the annual auction, which will be taking place both online and live.  We ask that donated items have a minimum $50 value and gift-in-kind tax receipts are available with proof of value.  Be creative with your ideas - camping equipment, outdoor games, yard tools, gift cards, experiences, the sky is the limit!
  • Collect Auction Items!  Another great way to support the auction is to ask local businesses that you are connected with to donate an item for the auction.  The business will get recognition in our  school community and money is raised for the school - win-win!!

We're excited about this event and look forward to a day of fun and fellowship together.  Watch your email for details or check back here for updates.

Auction Items

This year's auction will be a hybrid event, both online and live!  The online portion of the auction will be hosted by Twin Auctions and will run from March 26 - April 2.  The live auction will take place during the bazaar at 1:30.

We are looking for donated items for the auction - please consider donating!  We're asking for items with a minimum $50 value that you think would be a great addition to our auction.  Some suggestions include:

  • camping items
  • bbq supplies/tools
  • outdoor games
  • household items (decor, tools)
  • gift cards
  • experiences (event tickets, memberships)

Donated items are eligible for a gift-in-kind tax receipt with proof of value, so be sure to keep your receipt.  All items can be dropped off at the Society office during school hours.

Another way to support the auction is to ask local businesses that you're connected with for a donation!  There is an introductory letter here, as well as a donation form here that you can print out and bring with you.  If you have any questions, please contact Monica at (403) 327-4223 or director@immanuelcs.ca.

Volunteer Sign-Up

The Spring Bazaar cannot happen without your help!  Please sign up for a shift - there are lots of different options, including serving food, helping at a sales table, set up and clean up.

Sign up with a friend and serve together, or sign up on your own and meet new friends - thank you for making this event happen.

Kidzone Leaders Needed!

For anyone who has attended the bazaar/fall fundraiser in the past, a key part of the experience is the Kidzone.  The small gym, filled with carnival games and prizes and so many fun things!

For the last number of years, Jeff & Melinda Notenbomer has taken leadership of this and we're so grateful.  However, they are ready to hand over this project to the next generation of ICS parents, so we are looking for someone to step up and take this on for the 2026 event.  This could be a couple, or perhaps two or three couples, maybe a family - be creative!

If this is something that interests you, please call Monica at the Society office at (403) 327-4223.  We'll connect you with the Notenbomers and you can have the opportunity to work alongside them this year and see how it's done.
