Scott Van't Land (Class of 1993)

Scott Van’t Land attended Immanuel Christian School from K – 12, graduated from ICHS in 1993.  After high school, Scott went to the University of Alberta, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.  After completing his degree, Scott returned to Southern Alberta, beginning his career on the family farm in Coalhurst.

In 1999, Scott married Angela, another ICS alumni and together they now have 4 children, 3 of whom have already graduated from ICSS, with their youngest daughter set to graduate from ICSS in 2025.

In addition to a keen mathematical brain, Scott is also very creative.  He expresses this through music, as he is currently a member and treasurer of the Vox Musica Choral Society.  Scott is also a talented landscape photographer, with his work hanging in many local homes and organizations, including the Society office at ICSS.

Along with his work and creativity, Scott is also committed to giving back to the community.  One area he has invested in deeply is the Society Board of Immanuel Christian Schools.  This month marks the end of Scott’s second six-year term on the Society board, having served many of those years as either treasurer or chairperson.  Scott was an instrumental part of building the agreement between Lethbridge School District 51 and the Society, as well as being involved in the hiring of both current ICS principals.  ICS is very grateful for Scott’s hard work on its behalf and thank him for his many years of service.
